Here at the ATIMPH we seek to uphold and promote a standard of excellence in the field of trauma treatment.
We aim to support individual persons seeking care by confirming that their practitioner of choice is indeed operating with skill and ability and in a trauma informed manner. At this time our directory of members is not live on the site but please feel free to contact us to enquire about finding a practitioner to suit your needs - we will be happy to help. Don't forget to look out for the ATIMPH logo or ask your mental health practitioner if they are affiliated with us.
We also seek to support and validate professionals in the field, whether working clinically or holistically, by offering affiliation with us as a regulating body. Unlike some other boards we wish to acknowledge the enormous value that many non clinical mental health practitioners are bringing to this notoriously challenging area of work - their skill and experience often equalling that of more traditionally trained professionals that have adhered to standardised training routes. As such we aim to remain unbiased by the nature of the training path or process and usually do not accept members by paper application only. We evaluate each application on a case by case basis often requesting an online interview to ascertain whether the appropriate skillset is present.
